Las nominaciones para la 98ª edición de los Premios de la Academia fueron anunciadas el jueves, 22 de enero de 2026, desde el Samuel Goldwyn Theater. La película de terror musical Sinners, dirigida por Ryan Coogler, lidera la lista con un récord de 16 candidaturas, superando la marca histórica de la premiación. La ceremonia de entrega se llevará a cabo el 15 de marzo, con el comediante estadounidense Conan O’Brien como anfitrión.
Sinners rompe el récord de nominaciones de la Academia
Sinners, descrita como una película de terror de vampiros y también como un terror musical, se ha convertido en la película más nominada en la historia de los Óscar, alcanzando 16 candidaturas. Este logro desplaza a los anteriores poseedores del récord, que compartían 14 nominaciones: All About Eve (1950), Titanic (1997) y La La Land (2016).
Las nominaciones para Sinners incluyen la categoría de mejor película, dirección, guion original y candidaturas individuales para sus estrellas Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku y Delroy Lindo.
